What we are looking for:

  • A recognised Level 5 Counselling qualification that included in-depth consideration of the psychodynamic modality.
  • Relevant work experience within Psychodynamic Counselling Education.
  • Relevant formal teaching and assessment experience on Level 5 Counselling Diploma or related programme.
  • Ability to grow and develop relationships with external counselling agencies to enhance students' placement and keep them safe.
  • Ability to assess trainee readiness to practice.

Duties/responsibilities:

  • To be involved in administering and delivering the curriculum of the learning programme to meet the needs of the students, the awarding body, and the Professional Regulator (BACP) standards.
  • To be involved in the planning of the required administrative and organisational support for an effective and efficient delivery of the learning programme, including effective and efficient placement of trainee counsellors.
  • Follow up and record student progress, absences, withdrawals, and destinations, and recording this engagement using Nescot's secure online platforms and to inform the Curriculum Manager as necessary.
