What we are looking for:

  • A Level 6 qualification in a related subject
  • Highly desirable to be a qualified Healthcare Play Specialist and to hold current professional registration with SOHPS
  • Relevant formal teaching and assessment experience on Level 5 Healthcare play specialism course or related programme.
  • Grow and develop relationships with external student mentors and Apprenticeship teams
  • A recognised teaching qualification or the ability and willingness to undertake training, e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed or other equivalent to the appropriate level.

Duties/responsibilities:

  • To facilitate student learning on the Foundation Degree & Degree Apprenticeship pathways in Healthcare Play Specialism
  • To be involved in administering and delivering the curriculum of the learning programme to meet the needs of the students, the awarding body, and SoHPS.
  • To ensure students receive the programme of study at the beginning of each academic year revised and updated as required. Covering items such as timetabling, scheme of work, details of module assessment, course handbooks, portfolio reviews and assessment/assignment requirements.
