The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

Please note the start date for this role is September 2026. Term time only (36 weeks).

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working with young people aged 11-16, particularly those with SEND and or SEMH needs.
  • Experience supporting students with EHCPs.
  • Experience in Alternative Provision or similar settings.
  • Calm, patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work in a small team.
  • Good organisation skills and confidence using IT for administrative tasks.
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Able to use your own initiative and make decisions.
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English at grade C or above.

Duties/responsibilities:

  • To provide learning support for bespoke groups of students aged 14–16 years who are attending the 14–16 Alternative Provision at Nescot.
  • To encourage the engagement, resilience, and positive learning behaviour of students in lessons so that they have a sense of achievement and assist them in re‑engaging in education.
  • To provide support to individual students and small groups in lessons, vocational sessions and interventions.
  • To assist students in identifying a pathway for Post 16.
