What we are looking for:
- Experience working with young people aged 11-16, particularly those with SEND and or SEMH needs.
- Experience supporting students with EHCPs.
- Experience in Alternative Provision or similar settings.
- Calm, patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to work in a small team.
- Good organisation skills and confidence using IT for administrative tasks.
- Good communication skills - written and verbal.
- Able to use your own initiative and make decisions.
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English at grade C or above.
Duties/responsibilities:
- To provide learning support for bespoke groups of students aged 14 - 16 years who are attending the 14 - 16 Alternative Provision at Nescot.
- To encourage the engagement, resilience, and positive learning behaviours of students in lessons so that they have a sense of achievement and assist them in re‑engaging in education.
- To provide support to individual students and small groups in lessons, vocational sessions and interventions.
- To assist students in identifying a pathway for Post 16.
