NES Fircroft is recruiting for an experienced Subsea Operations Engineer to support a major offshore gas and condensate development project.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring subsea production systems are designed, commissioned, handed over, and operated safely and efficiently.
Working closely with engineering, operations, vendors, and project teams, you will be instrumental in driving operational readiness and long-term subsea asset performance.
Please note the location of the position: initially in either London (UK) or Oslo (Norway) for Detailed Engineering, then moving to Baku (Azerbaijan) during Execution.
Key Responsibilities Act as Technical Authority for subsea production systems.
Support subsea equipment design reviews and operational input.
Participate in FAT and System Integration Testing activities.
Develop operating and emergency procedures.
Support subsea maintenance engineering activities.
Establish subsea inspection, monitoring, and reliability programmes.
Support flow assurance and subsea controls readiness.
Develop ROV intervention and subsea tooling strategies.
Manage subsea spare parts and preservation programmes.
Support operational readiness reviews and project handover activities.
Promote strong HSE performance across all project activities.
What We're Looking For Degree in Subsea Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Subsea Operations.
Strong understanding of subsea production systems and controls.
Experience with FAT, SIT, operational readiness, and handover activities.
Strong stakeholder management and contractor coordination skills.
Demonstrable commitment to HSE leadership.
Fluent English communication skills.
