Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer on a contract basis to support a programme of work surveying industrial gas distribution systems across multiple UK sites and producing high-quality engineering documentation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in industrial automation, PLC systems and EC&I design who enjoys a mix of office-based engineering and occasional site work.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will undertake site surveys before producing accurate as-built engineering documentation for existing control and automation systems.
Typical deliverables will include:
- I/O Schedules
- System & Network Architecture Drawings
- Cause & Effect Diagrams
- High-Level Control Narratives
- Engineering documentation updates and verification
The role is predominantly office-based, with periodic travel to sites across the UK to carry out system surveys.
Experience Required
We're interested in speaking with engineers who have experience in:
- Allen-Bradley PLC-5 and ControlLogix systems
- Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 PLCs and industrial control networks
- Industrial process instrumentation and automation systems
- Gas distribution, compressor or process systems
- Producing detailed engineering documentation and as-built drawings
Desirable Experience
Any experience within the following would be advantageous:
- Electrical distribution and MCCs
- CompEx 12
- Functional Safety
- Industrial Cyber Security
- Rockwell Automation configuration
