We are currently recruiting for a Scientific Data Administrator to join a Product Safety team on a 6-month contract however could be extended. This is a predominantly remote role, with an initial handover period on site required. The role would suit someone with a scientific or Medical degree who is highly organised, accurate and comfortable working with detailed scientific information. The Role You will support the Product Safety team with the migration, entry and checking of scientific data within an established internal database. This will involve reviewing information from existing documents and ensuring it is accurately entered into the correct study, section and category. You will work alongside experienced technical and Product Safety specialists, so previous database experience is useful but not essential. The database is already established, and full support will be provided. Key Responsibilities Enter and maintain scientific information within an internal database. Review and check data for accuracy and completeness. Migrate information from existing documents into the database. Ensure information is recorded against the correct studies and sections. Identify and highlight errors, inconsistencies or missing information. Work closely with Product Safety and technical specialists for guidance. Support with resolving any data-related queries or issues.About You We're looking for someone with: A BSc or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific or medical discipline. A background in Natural Sciences, Biology, Toxicology, Medicine or a related scientific discipline. An understanding of scientific terminology, ideally including areas such as Toxicology, Consumer Safety or Environmental Safety. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Patience and concentration when working with detailed information. The ability to work independently while also being comfortable working as part of a wider team. Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and take guidance.Previous database or data management experience is advantageous but not essential. Additional Information This is an ASAP start, short handover period will therefore be required, including approximately 2–3 days on site, after which the role will be predominantly remote. Interviews will be a single-stage process via Teams or face-to-face.
