NES Fircroft are partnering with our major Engineering & Services client to provide a Responsible Engineer (EC&I) for a major nuclear project based out of Warrington. Hybrid working available. 3-year project! Mon-Fri minimum 37hrs per week.
The Responsible Engineer leads a team of CE&I Design Engineers in the definition, implementation and delivery of specified functional work that achieves the safety, functional and business needs. Electrical, Control & Instrumentation.
The project is working on a major nuclear project.
Qualifications and Required Experience- Academic Qualification: HNC minimum / Degree in relevant E/I Engineering discipline
- Professional: Incorporated Engineer
- Minimum 5 years experience delivering a CE&I RE role on external multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working knowledge of the external Engineering Standards governing the CE&I works
- Electrical Supply Infrastructure: LV drag chain, Lighting, Earthing, Fire Alarm, CCTV, etc
- Programmable Electronic Systems: Lifecycle, MIS, SCADA & PLC systems
- Cyber Security
- Safety Systems
- Process and Radiometric Special Instrumentation
- Remote Handling
- Contributing to/developing programmes and estimates to support project/task planning
- Effective Communication skills and the ability to convey information to a range of stakeholders
- Managing delivery in collaboration with the supply chain
- Undertaking design assurance activities
- Providing support to Construction
- Providing support to Commissioning
- Project management fundamentals
- Willingness to develop early career engineers
- Academic Qualification: BEng
- Professional Qualification: Chartered Engineer
- Minimum 5 years successfully delivering a CE&I RE role on SL multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working understanding of the appropriate external and SL Engineering Standards governing the CE&I works identified above.
