Be a key player in maintaining one of the UK’s premier oil and gas production facilities as an Onshore Instrument Technician at Wytch Farm near Corfe Castle, Dorset.  This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work within a skilled, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of complex instrumentation across multiple well sites and processing systems. If you are passionate about precision maintenance and thrive in an environment where safety and innovation meet, this role is for you.  Required Skills Strong expertise in maintenance, repair, and operational testing of instrumentation equipment including safety systems, fire and gas detection, flow measurement, and control systems (pressure, temperature, level) Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplined team, adhering to operational and maintenance procedures Proficient in using maintenance management software such as Maximo for work orders and failure reporting Competency in raising permits and ensuring compliance with safety and change management policies Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support project work and interaction with vendors and subcontractors Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with experience applying safety observation techniques Nice to Have Skills Experience in the oil and gas industry or closely related sectors Familiarity with ATEX-rated equipment and Compex training Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems Previous involvement with plant modification proposals and waste management systems Preferred Education and Experience Accredited engineering apprenticeship or Higher National Certificate (HNC) equivalent Prior experience in a maintenance or instrumentation technician role, ideally in oil and gas production or industrial processing environments Other Requirements Ability to work a rotational shift pattern consisting of 4 x 10.5-hour shifts (06:45 to 17:15), alternating start days between Monday and Tuesday Flexibility to work overtime during projects or shutdowns as necessary Willingness to comply with all health, safety, and environmental directives, including executing safety critical tasks confidently Must have the right to work in the UK On offer -Competitive Salary and staff benefits –Private Medical Insurance & Dental Cover, Flexible Benefit Allowance , 23 days holiday plus bank holls., Profit ‘Unit’ Sharing Scheme, Life Assurance , Relocation Support if required within the UK.
