Site Mechanical Completion Coordinator – Power & Energy Projects

Inside IR35 (PAYE or Umbrella) Expenses covered Based In Norfolk (Expected 4 days a week) Large scale Energy projects.

The Role

As a Site MC Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all Mechanical Completion and Quality Control activities on-site. Working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you will ensure all completion requirements are met in line with contractual and quality standards.

Site Completion Planning

  • Review and interpret contractual Mechanical Completion requirements
  • Understand and implement the site completion process and systems
  • Identify all MC activities and align with project plans (SQP, SMP, Completion Plan)
  • Review contractor quality plans and lessons learned from previous projects
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Support the training and onboarding of site personnel on completion systems

Execution & Coordination

  • Drive execution of Quality Plans, Master Test Plans, and MC strategies
  • Coordinate MC/QC activities in line with project schedules and milestones
  • Manage inspection processes, including walkdowns and documentation
  • Raise and track punch items through completion systems
  • Ensure all quality documentation is reviewed, accurate, and up to date
  • Maintain and update completion tools with live project data
  • Produce weekly reports covering MC progress, quality records, and punch items
  • Participate in quality meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Support deviation management and timely compilation of quality records

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience within construction sites or operations
  • Experience within the power or energy sector
  • Strong background in quality/change management
  • Proven ability to work within complex, large-scale projects
  • Knowledge of construction codes and industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills and a results-driven mindset
  • Willingness to relocate to project sites
  • Strong IT skills and experience with completion systems
