NES Fircroft is recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore wind developer for a Stores Operative to join their team in Ramsgate. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day warehouse, stores and vessel mobilisation activities. The successful candidate will help ensure parts, tools and equipment are available when needed while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack parts, tools and equipment accurately and efficiently
- Load and unload delivery vehicles using a forklift
- Support vessel mobilisation activities using a telehandler
- Book stock in and out using SAP
- Issue and consume parts through SAP
- Monitor calibration dates for tools and arrange recalibration when required
- Maintain inspection records for PPE and lifting equipment
- Assist with stock counts and investigate stock discrepancies
- Prepare dangerous goods documentation for vessel sailings in line with IMDG requirements
- Manage waste disposal and storage areas
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Promote site health and safety standards and use the reporting system to raise issues and improvements
- Carry out general housekeeping duties across the stores and warehouse
