Indirect Buyer Location: Greatham, Teesside Job Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive We’re recruiting for an Indirect Buyer to join the Procurement team of a major manufacturing business in Teesside. You’ll manage a range of indirect spend, including MRO, maintenance, engineering services, facilities and professional services, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver commercial value. Key Responsibilities Source suppliers and manage RFQs, tenders and negotiations. Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts. Manage supplier relationships and performance. Identify cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HSE and Finance. Support contract management and procurement improvements. Experience & Qualifications 3+ years' experience in a Buyer, Procurement or Purchasing role. Experience working across indirect procurement categories. Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or process environment would be advantageous. Strong experience of supplier management, sourcing, tendering and negotiation. Commercially aware with the ability to assess cost, quality, service and overall value. Confident dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders at different levels. Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Good analytical skills and confidence working with procurement data and Excel. Experience using procurement/ERP systems. CIPS qualification or working towards one would be advantageous but is not essential.
