Project Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all logistics activities associated with multiple transmission cable installation projects, including: Transportation of cable drums (up to 80 tonnes) from vessel to quayside, quayside to installation sites, and intermediate storage locations.
Plant and equipment movements, including abnormal and special loads.
Project worksites including: Peterhead (17 km installation) Caithness (25 km installation) Inverness Dundonnell (90 km installation)Key Responsibilities The Logistics Manager will work closely with the wider Site Installation Management Team and be accountable for: Developing and maintaining Logistics Management Plans, Transportation Management Plans, Materials Management Plans, Security Plans, and Mobilisation/Demobilisation Plans.
Managing logistics with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
Developing and maintaining integrated logistics schedules, look-ahead plans, milestone plans, and transport forecasts.
Coordinating all logistics operations including transportation, lifting activities, warehousing, laydown areas, and material handling.
Managing personnel movement, plant, equipment, transportation resources, and project logistics facilities.
Managing storage, preservation requirements, and strategic spare parts.
