Role Overview

Aker Solutions are recruiting for a senior leadership role responsible for leading Construction & Commissioning activity across the portfolio in Aberdeen. The role is focused on strengthening current performance while maintaining delivery, with emphasis on systems, process, and people development.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the Construction & Commissioning function and provide direction across delivery activity.
  • Drive improvements in current-state performance while maintaining safe, predictable delivery.
  • Act as a strong integrator across teams, stakeholders, and clients when required.
  • Support optimisation across commissioning, systems, handover, process, and people capability.
  • Lead and develop an organisation of around 30 people through strong leadership and clear expectations.

What we are looking for

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in construction and commissioning leadership, or a closely transferable environment.
  • Degree-qualified professional.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • A people-focused leader who is professional, credible, and comfortable operating as a client-facing representative when needed.
  • A balanced profile who can work effectively in a corporate setting while also solving practical operational challenges.
  • Openness to candidates bringing strong transferable capability from other industries.

Travel: Occasional international travel may be required, for example to Italy or Angola.
