Join a World-Class Chemical Manufacturing Site. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process / Chemical Engineer to join one of the UK's leading chemical manufacturing facilities. Operating within a COMAH Top Tier environment, you'll work on major process improvement and capital projects at a site producing high-value speciality chemical products for global markets. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, driving continuous improvement, and working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a modern manufacturing environment.

The Role: As part of the Process Technology team, you'll support projects across both active ingredient and formulation plants, contributing throughout the full engineering life cycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Supporting cost reduction and process optimisation projects.
  • Providing process design, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Working within a robust process safety and COMAH framework.
  • Supporting commissioning and start-up activities for new and modified plant.
  • Using digital engineering tools, process data and AI-assisted technologies to improve manufacturing performance.

What We're Looking For: We're looking for motivated engineers with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement. Candidates from a range of process industries are encouraged to apply, including:

  • Water Treatment
  • Petrochemicals
  • Energy or other process manufacturing environments

You’ll ideally have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within a process manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of process safety principles and HAZOP studies.
  • Experience delivering process improvements or engineering projects.
  • An interest in digital engineering tools, process data and emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is advantageous but not essential.
