NES Fircroft are partnering with our major Engineering & Services client to provide a Site-based CE&I Senior Design Engineer for a major nuclear project at Sellafield, Cumbria. 37hrs per week over 4.5 days per week.
The Engineer will be based 3 days per week on site, 2 days at home. Will also need to report to West Cumbria design office when not required on site. Some further occasional travel to Warrington.
Overview: To work as part of the Silos MSSS SEP1&2 CE&I design team: providing site-based design front line support to the Commissioning teams, delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes to meet functional and business needs. The implementation, testing and commissioning of the detailed designs/changes is undertaken by other dedicated site-based teams, hence is outside the scope of this role. The project is working on a major nuclear SEP project. Likely to be 2-3 years' work.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Academic Qualification: HNC minimum / Degree in relevant E/I Engineering discipline
- Incorporated Engineer
- Minimum 5 years successfully delivering as a CE&I Design Engineer: working on external multidiscipline projects
- Providing site-based front line design support to a Commissioning team with a working understanding of the following external standards for; PES based Control Systems, Process Instruments
- Effective Problem solving, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to other team members/disciplines.
- Willingness to support early career Engineers
