Our client is seeking an experienced Stores Operative to support in ensuring accurate handling of materials, timely stock movement, and compliance with internal procedures to maintain stock integrity and support production needs.
Responsibilities of the Stores Operative:
- Inventory Support — Assist with maintaining accurate stock levels, booking goods in/out, and supporting cycle counts and stock checks.
- Goods In / Goods Out — Receive deliveries, inspect goods, complete documentation, and prepare outgoing materials.
- Operational Coordination — Issue materials to production accurately and on time; liaise with production and logistics teams to support daily operations. Follow internal procedures & policies; maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation.
- Documentation — Record goods received, issued, and returned accurately and promptly.
- Health & Safety — Work in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support the Hardware Team with project staging tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a warehouse or stores environment (2+ years preferred).
- Basic understanding of inventory control systems (training provided).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Forklift licence/training will be provided.
The Stores Operative will have:
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- Able to work as a team and on their own.
- Attention to detail.
- Takes responsibility for completing tasks correctly and on time.
