NES Fircroft are hiring an Onshore Ops Tech on the Dimlington Terminals (Hull) for a leading Oil & Gas Operator. This is a 12 month PAYE contract with possibility of long-term extension. Shift pattern is 7 on/7 off rotation (days & nights, 12-hour shifts).
Role Overview: Working as part of the operations team your primary role will be to safely operate the terminal and prepare for maintenance activities within the operational and maintenance procedures, and to carry out site checks and report any inconsistencies to the Shift Team Leader. You will also be required to conduct the role of Performing Authority and Isolating Authority within the permit to work system, and to create and review Maintenance Preparation procedures and Process Operation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety standards and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct operations and maintenance routines in Maximo, raise defect jobs, and update P&IDs.
- Supervise vendors, prepare work packs, issue Work Control & Isolation Control Certificates.
- Perform start-up, shutdown, and well cycling per Well Operating Guidelines.
- Monitor environmental controls and respond to incidents.
- Participate in emergency response drills and act as a control team member when needed.
Requirements:
- Time-served trade apprenticeship.
- Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a technical discipline.
- Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry experience.
- Reside within a daily commutable distance as no lodge is being paid.
- Knowledge of: Safe Isolation & Reinstatement of Plant (SIRP) Permit to Work (PTW) systems Process Safety & Operational Risk Assessment (ORA).
