Aker Solutions is seeking an experienced Material Coordinator / Logistics Coordinator to support the Jackdaw Project, ensuring the efficient movement, tracking and coordination of materials between Aberdeen and the offshore installation. This is a key role acting as the link between the offshore team, home office and project stakeholders, ensuring materials are delivered safely and on schedule to support project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor all material logistics to and from Aberdeen and the Jackdaw project in line with contractual requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between offshore personnel and the onshore project team.
  • Ensure materials are prepared and shipped offshore within required timeframes.
  • Track, expedite and resolve material shortages or delays.
  • Work closely with the Onshore Construction Lead to establish topping-up requirements and alternative solutions when materials are unavailable.
  • Keep project teams and clients informed on material status and logistics activities.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all relevant project stakeholders.
  • Promote and support HSSE requirements throughout all stages of project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate material tracking records and logistics documentation.

Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in material coordination, logistics or storeman duties within the energy industry.
  • Experience working on engineering, construction or maintenance projects.
  • Good understanding of procurement procedures and material control processes.
  • Experience coordinating offshore logistics and material movements.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • MS Office 365.

Preferred Experience

  • Candidates with the following will be highly regarded:
  • Strong logistics and material management experience within offshore energy projects.
  • Experience supporting construction, hook-up, commissioning, maintenance or shutdown scopes.
  • Experience with material management or ERP systems.
  • Immediate or short-notice availability.
