Based in Barrow-In-Furness, our client, a specialist provider of subsea technology to the global Oil & Gas market, is currently looking to hire an experienced Logistics Coordinator for an initial 6-month contract.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator with strong SAP knowledge to support logistics and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will create and manage delivery documentation, coordinate with multiple internal departments, and ensure smooth flow of goods and materials. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organisation, and proficiency across the Office 365 suite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage delivery documentation, including delivery notes, commercial invoices, and shipping paperwork.
  • Operate and update data in SAP, ensuring accuracy and alignment with logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Work closely with Quality, Logistics, Warehouse, and Project Management teams to support operational requirements and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs for all logistics activities.
  • Prepare and analyse data using Excel.
  • Follow up with customers and freight forwarders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a logistics, supply chain, or administrative support role.
  • Strong SAP knowledge (preferably in logistics modules such as MM/SD).
  • Ability to generate and process delivery notes, commercial invoices, and related shipping documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Understanding of import/export processes and Incoterms.
  • Knowledge of basic supply chain principles.
