Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of safety-related electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for a regulated nuclear project.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust safety solutions that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Apply safety lifecycle processes, perform risk assessments, and utilize functional safety methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering with a strong focus on safety system design.
- Expertise in designing and verifying safety-related control systems in accordance with relevant nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in safety lifecycle processes, risk assessment, and functional safety methodologies (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61513).
- Strong technical knowledge of control system architectures, hardware, and software integration.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex technical specifications and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working on nuclear or other highly regulated infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with digital instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs and SCADA.

Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety system design, ideally within the nuclear or energy sector.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work on-site at the Warrington location, with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.
- Commitment to working a minimum of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Eligibility to obtain necessary security clearances for access to nuclear facilities (if applicable).
