NES Fircroft are working with a global provider for industries operating in high-temperature conditions who are specialists in thermal protection for industrial equipment. Our client offers a wide range of refractory products and advanced solutions to enhance steel casting, metallurgical fluxes, and molding processes. They are now recruiting for an Installation Supervisor to lead and support installation projects across the UK and occasionally Europe. You will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Independently prepare and manage installation services
- Supervise and execute refractory lining projects
- Plan, schedule, and allocate manpower, tools, and materials
- Record hours, allowances, and subcontractor data accurately
- Carry out service calls for repairs and fault analysis
- Support commissioning activities and provide technical guidance on dry outs
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety standards
- Act as the main point of contact for clients onsite
- Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Maintain project documentation, including QA/QC reports
- Mentor and guide staff to encourage continuous improvement
Candidate Profile
- Knowledge of furnace construction
- IOSH Safety training (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in MS Office, and CAD (ability to read drawings)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the refractory industry
- Experience in refractory installation, maintenance, and supervision (steel, cement, glass, aluminium & petrochemical industries)
- Forklift licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
