About the Role
Develop and implement regional and site-specific inventory strategies aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain precise inventory records and optimize stock levels through ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, Oracle).
- Define replenishment parameters such as min/max levels, safety stock, and reorder points, executing Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Facilitate ERP system deployment readiness at the regional level to enhance materials management capabilities.
- Collaborate with Line, Finance, and Procurement teams to balance service expectations and total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Monitor and report key performance indicators on inventory performance to stakeholders regularly.
- Uphold data integrity by ensuring quality control over material master records within ERP systems.
- Partner with Maintenance teams to establish critical spares strategies and manage demand planning for wells inventory.
- Conduct periodic stock reviews, oversee surplus material identification, and enable investment recovery through disposal processes.
- Support material status transparency with business partners to promote safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
- Support procedure development, supplier management alignment, and nurture team capability through training initiatives.
- Contribute to audit preparations and cost recovery efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in materials management, preferably linked to oil and gas services with large-scale capital expenditure or onshore projects.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset with confidence in negotiating complex contracts and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, and familiarity with procurement-to-pay (P2P) processes.
- Deep understanding of inventory management principles, logistics operations, and related safety risk mitigation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, demonstrating agility, respect, and tact.
- Skilled in influencing key decision-makers across disciplines and geographies.
Required Skills
- Professional chartership such as CIPS or equivalent.
- Experience with Maximo or other asset management systems.
- Knowledge of the regional materials management regulatory or accounting standards.
- Exposure to supplier performance improvement and supply chain efficiency initiatives.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a global energy company or within a complex, multi-stakeholder procurement environment.
- A track record of successful ERP system deployment or transformation projects is advantageous.
Pay range and compensation package
Based in or willing to work in Sunbury, UK, with a hybrid working model (minimum three days per week in the office). Must have legal authorization to work in the UK. No relocation support or local market adaptation is provided for this position.
