HBS currently has an exciting opportunity for a Snr. BMS/HVAC Estimator who will be responsible for generating budgetary and firm cost estimates for Projects and/or Service Projects. The candidate will work as a team player in assigned geography, generating solutions and cost estimates. They will act as a resource in support of the sale to address the customer’s technical and application requirements to ultimately provide an accurate cost of the solution. This position will partner with Sales and Design Engineers, vendors, customers, consulting engineers, contractors and delivery and support personnel to deliver estimates in a timely manner that are scoped and cost engineered correctly. All estimates will be expected to be within accordance with business objectives and strategies and ultimately deliver customer satisfaction. In a senior role, it is anticipated that they will provide support to the sales team during internal approval processes and preparations to ensure proposals are submitted promptly on time.
Responsibilities
- Assist sales in securing business by developing accurate, timely and professional estimates, on BMS/HVAC systems, in terms of scope, material and labor effort on an assigned opportunity.
- Compare the sales information to delivered information and provide guidance on factors to be used for competitive estimating of future jobs.
- Support efforts to obtain or retain competitive position.
- 100% compliance with all required Health and Safety policies.
- Early engagement with sales team to understand enquiry / RFQ properly to design and design suitable solution.
- Work closely with Operation Teams to agree on costs assessments and anticipate risks and individuates synergies.
- Maintain product knowledge and technical skills to current standards and portfolio.
- Work on alternate solutions for the enquiry (if required).
- Conduct internal technical reviews.
