NES Fircroft is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer for our client, contracted onto a major UK power project. The main duties involve the delivery of a substation grid connection.

Title: Site Engineer / Agent
Location: Peterhead, Aberdeenshire
Duration: 12-month+ contract
Outside IR35
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, competently, and effectively, achieving scope, programme, and budget.
- Identify and promote commercial opportunities.
- Coordinate engineering design activities.
- Monitor civil engineering activities actively.
- Review and monitor projects using MS Project.
- Liaise between head office, customer, subcontractors, and site-based employees.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and security procedures. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental best practices through effective communication and site audits.
- Requisition and control project materials.
- Liaise internally and externally to meet targets and key milestones, ensuring all works follow company procedures.
- Coordinate quality assurance activities.
- Manage interface with other teams and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably, an HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline, but not essential depending on experience.
- Several years of experience in construction and/or electricity industry environments, with good understanding of HV cable systems and civil engineering matters.
- High computer literacy.
- Proven people management skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- UK driving license is essential.
