Job Description

NES Fircroft are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a client of ours who are a global oilfield services company to join their wireline and wellhead equipment department – based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. This role requires a strong understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of engineering, with a focus on innovation, detail, and collaboration. You will be a key contributor to our commitment to continual improvement, driving efficiency and performance in line with our clients business strategy. This is a 2 year Contract.

Location – Inverurie, Aberdeen
Travel – UK & International (large-scale projects)
Contract – 2 Year fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities:
– Innovate, design, and develop customised, customer-centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
– Lead and execute design projects, including cost estimates, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and to client specifications.
– Provide expert technical support across departments and regions, including on-site installation, testing, and client meetings globally.

This role would suit you if you have the following:

–  Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
–  Strong experience in electrical design (Oil & Gas)
–  Proficiency in CAE ( FEA, CFD etc. ) tools & engineering documentation
–  Experience with hydraulic / pneumatic / electromechanical systems
–  UK right of work
