This role is responsible for leading the full sales and bid lifecycle for engineering projects within the heavy industry. Acting as Bid Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award, driving order intake and profitability targets.
You’ll work closely with international clients and internal teams, combining strong commercial awareness with technical understanding to deliver winning proposals.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process for allocated projects
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms to secure orders
- Ensure smooth handover to project delivery teams post-award
- Work closely with sales, product, R&D, and marketing teams to align on market needs and opportunities
- Represent the business at client meetings, trade events, and through digital channels
Strong experience in sales, bidding, or bid project management within engineering or metals industries.
Strong commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience).
Willingness to travel internationally.
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
