NES Fircroft is supporting a key Oil & Gas client with a ROV Support Engineer role for a long-term contract in Aberdeen.
In this role, you will provide technical and operational support for all ROV systems, ensuring activities align with our client\’s policies.
This is an initial 12-month PAYE contract, working 37.5 hours per week. After initial training, you will work on a 3/2 hybrid shift pattern.
Responsibilities:
- Support activities related to ROV system loading, workshop spares checks, inventory preparation, and pre-mob checks
- Coordinate re-certification activities for ROV systems and manage spare parts shipments offshore
- Process offshore MRs and assist with expediting, including part query clarifications
- Monitor and review ROV maintenance and technical reports, addressing any issues
- Ensure all critical spares checks are conducted and address shortfalls promptly
- Follow up on Damage/Malfunction/Failure (DMF) reports from ROV systems
What are we looking for?
- Education: Engineering degree or relevant HND/HNC
- Experience: 5-9 years in ROV-related activities such as mechanical/hydraulic workshops, onshore technical ROV roles, offshore pilot technician, or supervisor
- Technical skills: ROV systems knowledge; experience with ROV assets, mechanical, or hydraulic refurbishments is a plus
