Overview
Job Role: Revenue Accountant
Work Location: London
Purpose of Role: Deliver accurate and timely revenue information for corporate entities.
Responsibilities
- Direct Revenue Support: Ensure complete and accurate accounting and reporting of hydrocarbon revenue.
- Direct Revenue Support: Ensure all invoices are prepared and issued correctly and timely to enable timely cash recovery.
- Direct Revenue Support: Confirm self-bill invoices are consistent with expectations and recorded in the Finance System.
- Direct Revenue Support: Support the intercompany invoicing process between BUβs and Corporate.
- Direct Revenue Support: Ensure account reconciliations and variance analysis support an appropriate control environment and provide clear management reporting.
- Direct Revenue Support: Manage and prepare monthly accounting and reporting to ensure adherence to accounting policies, best practices, and industry recommendations.
- Direct Revenue Support: Continuously improve and enhance accounting and reporting practices.
- Direct Revenue Support: Assist in the development of business intelligence reporting systems, driving automation wherever possible.
- Direct Revenue Support: Deliver weekly cash forecast to Treasury on receipts/payments.
- Direct Revenue Support: Support Tax team with PRT returns.
- Direct Revenue Support: Contribute to the annual budget and planning process with business and functions.
- Direct Revenue Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- Other Activities: Support company initiatives such as EMS as required.
- Other Activities: Perform any other reasonable duty as instructed by the manager.
- Other Activities: Support external audit process.
- Other Activities: Work closely with other functions to ensure effective relationships and business delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree qualified with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) β Essential
- Strong experience in revenue and production accounting in upstream oil and gas β Essential
- UK North Sea experience β Essential
- Excellent accounting track record β Essential
- Strong analytical skills β Essential
- Experience with financial systems β Essential
- Proficiency in MS Office β Essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels β Essential
- Strong focus on service delivery and flexibility in a changing environment β Essential
