NES Fircroft is collaborating with an independent, family-owned company based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, that manufactures organic chemicals for various industries, including Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical, Rubber, Polymer, Food & Beverage, and allied sectors. We are seeking a R&D Chemist to join an existing Research and Development team to work on a lower tier COMAH facility.
Responsibilities
- The primary duty of this role is 'hands on' organic synthesis at bench scale.
- The Research Chemist’s function is to evaluate and cost initial customer enquiries, to develop a robust process suitable for scale up and to produce small scale samples for internal and external evaluation.
Experience & Qualifications
- Candidates will hold a minimum BSc in Chemistry, 2:1.
- Ideally hold a MSc or PhD.
- Be passionate about Organic Chemistry.
- The position would suit a newly qualified PhD/graduate who is after their very first industrial experience.
