An independent engineering & technology consultancy is looking for a Functional & Process Safety Engineer to support safety-critical projects across energy, low-carbon, and industrial sectors.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver functional & process safety expertise across the asset lifecycle
  • Manage the functional safety lifecycle (IEC 61508 / 61511) up to SIL 3
  • Lead and support HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, FMEA, FTA and related studies
  • Develop SRS, proof testing, and safety management arrangements
  • Support ALARP demonstrations, ATEX/DSEAR, and risk reduction strategies
  • Act as a technical authority across multiple projects and clients

What we’re looking for:

  • Engineering degree (Chemical, Process, Control/Automation or similar)
  • ~5+ years’ experience in safety / process engineering
  • Background in oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or similar industries
  • Consulting experience a plus
