NES Fircroft is recruiting for a Project Construction Quality Control Supervisor to join a fast-paced project in Howden, Yorkshire.
Scope of Supply
- Provide Quality discipline input to the Project Management Team
- Implement the Project Quality Plan in line with standards and specific project requirements
- Implement the Project Audit Program based on project risks and key activities
- Develop and implement a project quality surveillance program to monitor construction process quality daily
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Promote Quality awareness throughout the project
- Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan, Surveillance Programs, and other quality procedures
- Oversee Contractors’ implementation of their Quality program and compliance
- Attend construction inspections according to approved ITPs
- Review Contractors’ plans, procedures, and documents
- Ensure scheduled audits of Contractors are conducted
- Plan and conduct “readiness reviews” with technical experts for critical activities
- Participate in Contractor audits and facilitate resolution of findings
- Investigate Quality Incidents and coordinate responses
- Report Project quality KPIs to the Project Management Team and Quality Manager
- Review technical QA/QC documents like Quality Plans and ITPs
- Ensure inspections are organized, recorded, and follow-up on technical issues
- Ensure non-conformances are eliminated following procedures
- Follow up on Contractor implementation of QC systems
- Communicate inspection findings to the Project Management Team
Stakeholder Management
- Establish good relations with Owners/Clients and internal/external parties
- Demonstrate the value and capacity of YTP in project execution
- Build contacts with external organizations like suppliers and contractors
Required Skills and Experience
- Senior experience with QC processes
- Experience in fabrication and testing of static mechanical equipment, including welding, coating, and NDT
- Technical background in Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with international codes and norms (Machinery Directive, PED, ASME, EN, ISO)
- Experience with inspections in the Fertilizer Industry
- At least 10 years of experience in similar construction project roles
- Knowledge of chemical Industry process plants
