Planning Engineer (Contract) – Offshore Wind Farm Development Project UK-Based | Hybrid with Occasional Site Visits
Are you a seasoned Planning Engineer with a passion for renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure? Join a dynamic and professional team delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious offshore wind projects.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of a major UK offshore wind project. You’ll be embedded within the Project Services team, working closely with Engineering Work Package Managers, Project Directors, and cross-functional departments including Finance, Commercial, and Consenting.
Location – Blackfriars, London
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Support Work Package Managers with planning input and attend weekly coordination meetings.
- Deliver monthly schedule updates and contribute to integrated project reporting.
- Identify and resolve planning disconnects across packages.
- Lead “what-if” scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
- Contribute to milestone tracking, programme pressure analysis, and leadership reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+years’ experience in project planning and controls,in offshore wind projects.
- Proficient in Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of EPCI project phases and stakeholder interfaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Experience working across multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
