NES Fircroft is proud to be supporting a leading Oil & Gas Operator in their search for an experienced Operations Technician to join the team at their Gas Facility in Bacton.
About the Role:
As part of the terminal’s operations team, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant, ensuring maintenance preparation and daily checks are completed to high standards. You’ll play a key part in maintaining safe operations, identifying issues, and supporting procedural improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the terminal safely in accordance with operational and maintenance procedures
- Prepare for and support maintenance activities on site
- Conduct site inspections and promptly report any inconsistencies to the Shift Team Leader
- Act as Performing Authority and Isolating Authority within the Permit to Work system
- Create and review maintenance preparation and process operation procedures
- Drive HSE performance – stop unsafe work, follow safety standards, and participate in incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with the Operating Management System, Golden Rules, and site safety protocols
Who We’re Looking For:
- Time-served trade apprenticeship (essential)
- Strong technical background – minimum HNC or equivalent
- Experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
- Solid understanding of safe systems of work and terminal/plant operations
- Strong commitment to HSE performance and continuous improvement
