Our client, a leading Oil & Gas operator, are hiring a Medic HSEA to join their UK QSSHE team in the Southern North Sea sector. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture, while providing essential Medic and Occupational Health support across offshore platforms and associated NUI’s. You will play a key role in ensuring safety compliance and regulatory adherence, offering safety coaching to management and platform staff, and supporting the overall HSE objectives of the business. Key Responsibilities: Medic & Occupational Health Function: Provide emergency medical response, primary medical care, and prehospital life support. Ensure medical equipment and consumables are available to meet all platform requirements. Offer clinical services for routine illnesses and minor injuries. Act as the focal point for RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases, and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) reporting. Serve as the Manual Handling Coordinator/Trainer and COSHH Coordinator. Act as the appointed person for Noise at Work, HAV’s, DSE/Ergonomics, Asbestos, and provide guidance on Stress Management. Manage potable water and radiation protection systems, serving as the Radiation Protection Supervisor. Ensure full compliance with occupational health, hygiene, and safety regulations.HSE Performance: Be the key point of contact for all HSE matters on offshore platforms. Conduct induction and orientation training for new staff and visitors. Manage the reporting and progress of the POST system, including record maintenance and report generation. Supervise personnel involved in the maintenance and overhaul of lifesaving and firefighting appliances. Provide HSE support for planned shutdowns, vessel outages, and tank entries. Participate in risk assessment discussions and safety meetings, ensuring effective communication of key HSE issues. Support the preparation and execution of emergency exercises in line with ERP procedures.Experience & Qualifications: Offshore Survival certification (OGUK standard). Offshore Medic Certificate (Candidates must pass the Iqarus Competence Test if not from Iqarus or Nottingham University). NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate. Occupational Hygiene qualifications (Core modules in Asbestos, COSHH, Noise, Vibration) preferred but not essential. Radiation Protection Supervisor certification preferred but not essential. Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and auditing. Strong reporting and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
