Join a major UK Oil and Gas operator supporting within the Technical Safety team, you'll provide safety engineering support to both operational assets and projects, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, industry standards and best practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Support safety studies including HAZID, Bowtie, ALARP and risk assessments.
- Deliver technical safety analyses such as fire and explosion risk assessments, hazardous area classification, consequence modelling and emergency response assessments.
- Support asset modifications and projects by identifying and delivering appropriate safety studies.
- Ensure compliance with regulations including COMAH, SCR, PFEER, DSEAR, DCR, PSR and PSSR.
- Develop safety strategies, procedures and documentation to support operational excellence.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering and operations teams while driving continuous improvement in process safety performance.
What we're looking for:
- Degree-qualified engineer (Process Safety, Chemical, Mechanical or similar).
- 2–5 years' experience in a Safety Engineering role within the oil and gas sector.
