Role - Quality Inspector (Electrical) - Short term contract
Location - Midlands
The role is intended to support manufacturing quality execution, assist the factory quality team, and contribute to the management of quality activities within the factory.
In addition, the role will support Project Quality activities linked to construction projects including project quality follow-up, NC tracking, open point management, and quality reporting.
The contractor will also represent Project Quality in front of the customer during inspection and testing activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and related quality meetings.
The contractor will not have standalone authority for technical decisions or quality dispositions but will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Project Quality, Engineering, and other relevant functions to help ensure that quality controls, inspection activities, and project follow-up are properly maintained.
- Attend factory inspections and test activities, including FAT witnessing.
- Support quality team in transformer manufacturing quality activities.
- Support the project process, including tracking actions and closure.
- Support the project open point process and maintain status updates.
- Help maintain quality records, reports, and customer-facing quality follow-up.
- Provide flexible additional support to the quality team as needed.
Experience in quality, inspection, or technical support.
Transformer or heavy electrical equipment experience is an advantage.
Familiar with Testing, NC tracking, and action follow-up is an advantage.
English language.
