An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 3D Modeller & 2D CAD Technician to join a growing engineering team delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK & Ireland. This role offers the chance to work on complex, technically challenging projects while developing your expertise in BIM and digital engineering.
The Role
- Working within a multidisciplinary design environment, you will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and 2D drawings that support project delivery from design through to construction.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ensure high-quality, coordinated outputs across a variety of infrastructure schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D models and 2D technical drawings.
- Support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate models across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process disciplines.
- Assist with model federation, clash detection and drawing extraction activities.
- Maintain project information within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards and project specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and technical coordination meetings.
- Support BIM standards, workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- A qualification in Engineering, CAD, or related discipline.
- Experience in 3D modelling and 2D drafting within an infrastructure, engineering or construction environment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar software.
- Understanding of BIM processes and digital engineering workflows.
- Experience working within a CDE environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
- Experience within the water or wastewater sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
