NES Fircroft is supporting one of their O&G clients in Great Yarmouth with a Logistics Co-ordinator role.

This is a permanent position focused on shipping logistics. We are seeking an individual with extensive knowledge in import/export & dangerous goods .

Key responsibilities:

  1. Creation of despatch notes for equipment dispatched
  2. Preparation of import commercial invoices & clearance instructions
  3. Preparation of export commercial invoices, dispatch notes, cargo summary tickets
  4. Liaising with freight forwarders for quotations and efficient shipping of subsea equipment worldwide
  5. Obtaining export and import entries to complete logistical files for audit compliance
  6. Providing logistical guidance to on-site parties and identifying shipping methods
  7. Coordinating with Warehouse and Logistics teams to ensure import/export accuracy and compliance
  8. Communicating with global colleagues regarding shipments and document control
  9. Managing import, export, and domestic documentation to meet record-keeping standards
  10. Validating all freight invoices
  11. Supporting internal Import/Export audits as needed
  12. Participating in the out-of-hours rota
  13. Creating Purchase Orders for freight invoices

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Export Licence controls
  • Understanding of import regimes (e.g., IPR, RGR, Duty Paid)
  • Understanding shipping practices and handling methods
  • Familiarity with Customs Procedure Codes
  • Knowledge of goods classification
  • Experience with Dangerous Goods IATA & IMDG
  • Understanding of COSHH and hazardous materials handling
  • Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS
  • Proven track record in international logistics for exports/imports
