This person will join the Monitoring and Diagnostics team whose mission is to develop state of the art monitoring technologies, generally deployed in an Electrical Substation, allowing a customer to understand and optimize the operating condition of their Electrical Power Transformers, circuit breakers and other substation assets.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of projects to support the growth of our business, improve and/or develop global supply chain processes and to improve product quality by using lean and Six Sigma approach and effectively working in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) project planning and execution of tasks to set timeline.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Lead the development and execution of process validation plans, including Design of Experiments (DOE), Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Collaborate with the product development team during the design and prototyping stages to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide input on design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and design for test (DFT).
  • Improve H&S and ergonomics in production cells.
  • Learn and apply lean tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement process improvement through assembly and test automation.
  • Create, review and update process documentation as required.
  • Analysis of existing processes and execution of improvements.
  • Root cause analysis of reported production and process issues.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to establish quality control measures, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to provide support in troubleshooting manufacturing problems.
  • Review production line layout and restructuring.
  • Support daily production activities.
Essential Criteria
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
  • Degree in Engineering/Science (preferably Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical and Mechanical, but all considered).
  • Competency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated time management capability.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment or independently on multiple projects with strict completion deadlines.
  • Good writing skills, accuracy and an eye for detail.

  • Previous industrial work experience.
  • Ability to collaborate across various functions and levels within the operations team.
  • Confident at programming in Excel and managing or developing databases/macros.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiar with programming language example LabVIEW.
  • Familiar with general purpose test equipment.
  • Motivated to eliminate waste.
  • Enthusiastic and imaginative.
