We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Installation Supervisor to join our client’s growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee refractory installation projects across the UK and occasionally Europe. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy leading teams, and take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently, then this could be your next move.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage refractory installation services from planning to execution
- Supervise teams of up to 30 operatives per shift across industrial sites
- Coordinate manpower, tools, and materials to meet project timelines
- Accurately track working hours, allowances, and subcontractor details
- Respond to service calls, troubleshoot faults, and support repair work
- Guide commissioning activities and advise on dry-out procedures
- Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and internal safety standards
- Act as the primary onsite contact for clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain detailed project documentation including QA/QC reports
- Mentor team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the refractory industry
- Valid forklift licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
Bonus Skills & Experience
- Background in refractory installation and supervision across sectors like steel, cement, glass, aluminium, or petrochemicals
- Familiarity with furnace construction and industrial systems
- Ability to read technical drawings (CAD) and use MS Office tools
- IOSH or equivalent safety training
