NES Fircroft, on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas Operator, is hiring for the position of HR & Training Coordinator.

Location: Wareham, Dorset

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office-Based

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established HR team in a key support role. The HR department serves as a central hub for employee support, organization, information, and training. As an HR & Training Coordinator, you'll work closely with the HR Manager and the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of HR services and processes.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities. You will handle employee queries, maintain records and systems, and support HR and training activities across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the HR mailbox and act as the first point of contact for employee queries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
  • Update HR systems and databases regularly.
  • Administer the full employee lifecycle process (onboarding, offboarding, changes).
  • Coordinate new starter inductions and conduct exit interviews.
  • Draft and send formal HR letters and documentation.
  • Record and monitor employee absences.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the HR Manager and team as required.
  • Organize group training courses and book individual training sessions.
  • Liaise with providers to ensure course content, scheduling, and costs are appropriate.
  • Run monthly reports to track training compliance and address any gaps.
  • Manage and administer the site’s online training platform.
  • Track employee development training and maintain training records.
Experience & Skills Required
  • Previous experience in an administrative role (HR or Training preferred but not essential).
  • Must reside within a daily commutable distance to the site.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Professional and approachable communication style.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Confident interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
