Overview
NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for an HMI Engineer for our client, who are a global, industry-leader in power technology.
Location: Lincoln. Duration: 6-month initial contract (long-term work).
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test standardised HMI builds on Windows endpoints, Servers, and Clients, including engineering software such as: AVEVA Intouch, FactoryTalk, Optix, Simatic PCS7, WinCC.
- Implement cybersecurity measures such as Windows hardening, endpoint security, whitelisting, and secure backups.
- Configure, develop, and test networking components such as industrial firewalls and managed switches.
- Develop and maintain work instruction documentation for build configurations.
- Create and maintain information databases.
- Collaborate and support the Project Execution team to enhance quality and on-time delivery.
- Identify and rectify problems found during testing of software/hardware and support the Field Service team during commissioning of equipment/software.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent professional accreditation or recognition in an engineering discipline preferably relating to the fields of Computer Science, Control Systems, Cybersecurity.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working with industrial controls system applications such as: Rockwell/Allen Bradley Control Logix, Siemens PCS7 Control Systems, AVEVA Intouch, Factory Talk Optix.
- Familiarity with industrial networks and cyber security standards, frameworks, and regulations: IEC-62443, NCSC CAF, EU Cyber Resilience Act.
- Working knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT related tools and software for business analytics and project management.
- Practitioner of a Systems Engineering approach to product improvement is highly desirable.
