Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a strong background in leading geotechnical engineering activities across major infrastructure projects? NES Fircroft has been exclusively retained by a market leader who is looking for a skilled professional to support the technical delivery, design coordination and engineering assurance activities across water and infrastructure sectors.

In this Geotechnical Engineer role, your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Lead geotechnical engineering activities across bids and projects.
  • Undertake or check geotechnical calculations and technical deliverables.
  • Support development of geotechnical design solutions and ground engineering strategies.
  • Coordinate interfaces between geotechnics, civils, structures and temporary works.
  • Support build-ability reviews and construction methodology development.
  • Manage external geotechnical designers and specialist consultants where required.
  • Participate in technical reviews and engineering risk assessments.
  • Support junior engineers and discipline development activities.

To be successful in this Geotechnical Engineer position, you will need a strong technical background in geotechnical engineering, with addition to the below points:

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
  • Around 10 years’ experience in infrastructure projects.
  • Experience undertaking and checking engineering calculations.
  • UK infrastructure experience preferred.
  • Water sector experience beneficial but not essential.
  • Temporary works knowledge beneficial.
