NESFircroft is actively sourcing for a Financial Controller on a contract basis for a global power technology client. The client operates as part of a high voltage transformer business unit and has operations in over 90 countries. The role is a hybrid position with remote and office work from the client’s engineering hub in Stone, Staffordshire.
Key Details
- Rate: circa £30 per hour
- Contract: Inside IR35 (PAYE or Umbrella)
- Location: Stone, Staffordshire – 3 days onsite (Flex)
- Hours: 37.5 per week
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare journals and accruals
- Prepare overhead allocations
- Reconcile and review key balance sheet accounts (e.g., stock, provisions)
- Resolve errors
- Provide month-end Abacus reporting support (input to Abacus by SAS)
- Balance sheet reconciliation and review
- Prepare cost centre correction journals where required
- Headcount reconciliation and reporting
- Sales expenses variance analysis
- Provide local finance and accounting support to the business
- Cash flow forecasts
- Manage and review FX forward contracts
- Manage intra-business recharges
- Provide support to the annual budget and rolling forecast processes
- Support the annual budget process
- Prepare local cost centre budgets for input to SAP
- Update the monthly rolling forecast in BI
- Provide ad-hoc reporting, troubleshooting and analysis when required
- Provide support to GBS with the completion of the Abacus reporting packs
- Act as the focal point for day-to-day FI/CO enquiries from GBS
- Assist with the development of local management reports
- Prepare backup information for external stakeholders
Essential Criteria
- Qualified or Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or similar
- Experience in an accounting or controlling environment
- Good understanding of SAP FI and CO modules
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, look-ups and filters)
- Excellent organisational skills
- Experience with Lotus Notes
