An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process / Chemical Engineer to join one of the UK's leading chemical manufacturing facilities.
Operating within a COMAH Top Tier environment, the role involves major process improvement and capital projects at a site producing high-value specialitychemical products for global markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, driving continuous improvement, and working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a modern manufacturing environment.
The Role
As part of the Process Technology team, you will support projects across both active ingredient and formulation plants, contributing throughout the full engineering life cycle.
- Your Responsibilities
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Support cost reduction and process optimisation projects.
- Provide process design, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Work within a robust process safety and COMAH framework.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities for new and modified plant.
- Use digital engineering tools, process data and AI-assisted technologies to improve manufacturing performance.

- You’ll Ideally Have
- A degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a process manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of process safety principles and HAZOP studies.
- Experience delivering process improvements or engineering projects.
- An interest in digital engineering tools, process data and emerging technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is advantageous but not essential.
