NES Fircroft, on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas operator, is hiring experienced Electrical Technicians to join their offshore teams in the UK North Sea. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a major operator on an ongoing PAYE contract.
Contract Details
- Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12‑hour shifts
- Mobilisation Base: Norwich (Travel & digs paid before mobilisation)
- Day Rate: PAYE rates – full details can be provided
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on all electrical equipment following Preventative Maintenance Routines (PMRs) in Maximo.
- Conduct EX maintenance on all EX electrical equipment.
- Participate in weekly planning meetings to assist in planning the next shift.
- Attend and contribute to daily morning and evening wash‑up meetings.
- Raise necessary Work Control Certificates (WCCs) for non‑routine tasks, including level 2 WCCs.
- Issue and manage Isolation Control Certificates (ICCs) for electrical and other trade‑specific tasks requiring isolation.
- Develop switching procedures for High Voltage (HV) systems.
- Execute HV and LV switching, including isolations and de‑isolations.
- Respond to breakdowns as required and liaise with the Terminal Electrical Engineer to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid BOSIET, MIST, and Offshore Medical with no restrictions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (onshore/offshore), including a time‑served trade apprenticeship.
- Previous Offshore Electrical Technician experience on maintenance (PPM) projects.
- CompEx Certification is essential.
