Job Description

NES Fircroft, on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas operator, is hiring experienced Offshore Electrical Technicians to join their offshore teams in the UK North Sea. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a major operator.

Contract Details

  • Duration: Initial 9-12-month contract with high potential for extension
  • Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts
  • Mobilisation Base: Norwich
  • Day Rate: PAYE

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on all electrical equipment following Preventative Maintenance Routines (PMRs) in Maximo.
  • Conduct EX maintenance on all EX electrical equipment.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to assist in planning the next shift.
  • Attend and contribute to daily morning and evening wash-up meetings.
  • Raise necessary Work Control Certificates (WCCs) for non-routine tasks, including level 2 WCCs.
  • Issue and manage Isolation Control Certificates (ICCs) for electrical and other trade-specific tasks requiring isolation.
  • Develop switching procedures for High Voltage (HV) systems.
  • Execute HV and LV switching, including isolations and de-isolations.
  • Respond to breakdowns as required and liaise with the Terminal Electrical Engineer to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid BOSIET, MIST, and Offshore Medical with no restrictions.
  • CompEx Certification is essential.
