Are you an experienced EC&I Engineer looking to make an impact in hydroelectric power? We are seeking a skilled professional to lead critical projects, oversee maintenance, and drive compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project delivery, from identification and tendering to execution
  • Support maintenance engineers with inspections of electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with PUWER, Electricity at Work, ESQCR, and other regulations
  • Manage performance systems, including Maximo and key KPIs
  • Lead procurement and contract management, including contractor oversight
  • Solve complex technical issues, analyze plant failures, and recommend improvements
  • Conduct safety audits, ensuring operational and engineering compliance
  • Act as a work sponsor and provide training as needed
  • Produce detailed reports, proposals, and tender documents

What You’ll Need:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or EC&I, preferably Chartered status
  • 3 – 10 years’ experience in electrical/EC&I engineering, ideally in the generation sector
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification in Health and Safety
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, plant operations, and commissioning
  • Expertise in instrumentation and control systems, including testing and fault diagnosis
  • Proven problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and implement technical solutions
  • Experience in maintenance management, procurement, and risk-based strategies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of engaging at all levels
  • Knowledge of safe systems of work, hydro operations, and business procedures
