An independent engineering & technology consultancy is looking for a Functional & Process Safety Engineer to support safety-critical projects across energy, low-carbon, and industrial sectors.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver functional & process safety expertise across the asset lifecycle
- Manage the functional safety lifecycle (IEC 61508 / 61511) up to SIL 3
- Lead and support HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, FMEA, FTA and related studies
- Develop SRS, proof testing, and safety management arrangements
- Support ALARP demonstrations, ATEX/DSEAR, and risk reduction strategies
- Act as a technical authority across multiple projects and clients
What we’re looking for:
- Engineering degree (Chemical, Process, Control/Automation or similar)
- ~5+ years’ experience in safety / process engineering
- Background in oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or similar industries
- Consulting experience a plus
